Program heritage
The late Florida Tech professor who initiated the group's data-collection program at Sebastian Inlet in 1996, beginning with the installation of oceanographic instrumentation. His work spanned ocean engineering, coastal engineering, and physical oceanography. Sensors for weather monitoring were added at the end of the north jetty in 1997.
